PennyTalk is an international calling service offering great, low calling rates around the world. Unlike other calling card products, PennyTalk has no gimmicks and no gotchas. PennyTalk also comes with a satisfaction guarantee.

PennyTalk is a service provided by IDT, a leader in global telecommunications. Founded in 1990, IDT is a Fortune 1000 company that delivers local, long distance, and calling card services to millions of customers in more than 225 countries. For more information about IDT, please visit www.idt.net.

PennyTalk was introduced in 2001 as a service of Net2Phone, Inc. Net2Phone was acquired by IDT in 2006.

How It Works

The PennyTalk calling card is a convenient way to save on all of your long distance calling from any phone in the U.S. or Canada.

Placing Calls with PennyTalk
Once you have opened a PennyTalk account, you can easily make calls at great low rates. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Dial 877-PENNY-25 (877-736-6925) from anywhere in the U.S or Canada and listen for the greeting.
  2. When prompted, dial your 10-digit account number followed by your 4-digit PIN.
  3. For calls to the U.S. and Canada, dial 1 + area code + the number you wish to call, when prompted. For other countries, dial 011 + country code + city code + local number.

It’s that simple! And, before each call connects, you will hear your account balance and minutes remaining.

What It Costs
Calls cost as little as 2¢ a minute worldwide and 1¢ a minute in the U.S. There is a 49¢ connection fee for each call that connects. There is a 99¢ monthly service fee that applies to all accounts and is charged on each monthly anniversary of activation.

For example, the rate to Germany is 2¢ a minute. A half-hour call to Germany costs just $1.09. That’s 30 minutes x 2¢ per minute, plus 49¢. The cost of your calls is deducted from your account balance. That’s it. Click here to see all rates.

Opening a PennyTalk Account
It is very easy to start calling with PennyTalk! A PennyTalk prepaid account can be opened instantly with as little as $25. After you make the purchase, you will be provided an Account Number and PIN to start making calls right away. You will also receive a PennyTalk card in the mail in about 7 days.

As you make calls, charges are deducted from your account balance. You may add funds to your account at any time, or enable the Auto-Recharge option so you never have to worry about running out of call time. You may use a credit card (Visa, American Express, or MasterCard) or PayPal to make your purchase.

Features

With PennyTalk, you’ll receive much more than an ordinary calling card. PennyTalk offers the following features for your calling convenience:

No-PIN Dialing
PennyTalk’s No-PIN Dialing feature allows you to connect to your calls faster. Register up to five phone numbers that you frequently call from (home, cell, etc.) and you will no longer be prompted for your Account Number and PIN when calling from these locations. Simply dial the PennyTalk access number, and after the prompt, dial the phone number you would like to call.

Please note:
This is not a speed dial feature and will not dial the numbers you register.

No-PIN Dialing may not work with some office Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems, certain mobile services, or during roaming.

Auto-Recharge
Never run out of talk time with PennyTalk’s Auto-Recharge feature. Your can choose to have your account automatically replenished -- you determine how much to add and when to add! Whenever your balance falls below the selected amount, the credit card you have on file will be charged automatically.

International Access Numbers
Traveling abroad? Use your PennyTalk calling card to stay connected. You can make calls from over 30 countries, including country-to-country calling, with our toll-free international access numbers.

Online Account Management
At the PennyTalk Account Center you can check all rates, review your call history, add funds to your account, set up the automatic recharge option, manage No-PIN Dialing and more. You will need an Account Number and PIN to log in.
